Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering, maintenance, and utilities operations at a manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for improving equipment reliability, driving capital projects, and ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations. As a member of the site leadership team, you will oversee asset performance, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and develop a high-performing technical team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop engineering, maintenance, utilities, and technical teams.
  • Drive a strong culture of safety and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
  • Improve equipment reliability using root cause analysis, FMEA, and other reliability tools.
  • Plan, manage, and execute capital projects from concept through startup, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee plant utilities to ensure reliable operation and uninterrupted production.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to improve plant performance.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Collaborate with corporate engineering teams and external vendors on technical initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline (advanced degree is a plus).
  • 8+ years of engineering and/or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership experience managing engineering or maintenance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and asset management best practices.
  • Experience leading capital projects and managing budgets.
  • Background in process manufacturing; chemical or fiber manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support plant operations, including occasional after-hours or weekend responsibilities as needed.
