Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / set up man to join our team.  As a CNC Programmer / set up man, you'll help to get jobs started which includes creating CNC programs (derived from blueprints) creating and process plans and helping machinists set tooling and run first parts for approval.  Responsibilities will include collaborating with the shop coordinator, foreman and QC Manager to understand our customer's needs and in-turn, help communicate accurate process plans for machinists.

TITLE:        CNC PROGRAMMER / SET UP MAN
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
A)                MUST HAVE MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN MACHINE SHOP MANUFACTURING AND REMANUFACTURING.
B)                MUST BE SELF STARTER NEEDING MINIMUM SUPERVISION.
C)                MUST BE CAPABLE OF READING PRINTS
D)                MUST BE CAPABLE OF PROGRAMMING MAZAK CNC LATHES.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
A)                CREATE AND FILE PROGRAMS TO BE STORED AS MANUFACUTING RECORDS.
 
B)                CREATE PROCESS PLANS FOR MACHINED PARTS.
 
C)                MUST BE CAPABLE OF EFFICIENTLY PROGRAMMING/ OPERATING MAZAK CNC MACHINE.
 
D)                MUST BE ABLE TO MAKE SOUND MACHINING DECISIONS.
 
E)                 MUST BE CAPABLE OF LEADING A GROUP OF EMPLOYEES IN THE MACHINE SHOP. 
 
F)                 MUST BE CAPABLE OF TRAINING LESS EXPERIENCED MACHINIST BY WAY OF HELPING THEM GET SET UP WITH TOOLING AND PROGRAMS ON ANY JOB NECESSARY.
  
G)                MUST BE ABLE TO PROMOTE RESPECT, COURTEOUSNESS, DEPENDABILITY, GOOD HOUSEKEEPING, MOTIVATION, LOYALITY AND SAFETY THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY ON A DAILY BASIS.
 
H)                ABLE TO LIFT 30 LBS AND/OR PASS PHYSICAL FUNCTION TEST.
