Both intern positions will serve as dedicated area specialists for gas operations with a focus on Gas Emergency Response and Compliance work. These roles will analyze data and assist with continuous improvement efforts detailed around efficiency and app rationalization.

Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assist local operations with logistical improvements.
- Analyze data to determine trends and areas for key improvements.
- Utilize skills to enhance business processes and improve application functionality.
- Play a key role in continuous improvement efforts that allows for more automation within daily operational activities.


This position is for a May 31, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship's initial term based on the candidate's successful performance and Xcel Energy's business needs.

Minimum Requirements:
- Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027)
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Emergency Preparedness, Engineering
- Personal vehicle needed to travel to work sites
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in the energy industry.
