About the Role
Our client is now hiring an Engineering Manager to lead their newly created engineering team to drive continuous improvement across all printing and packaging manufacturing operations.
This role will oversee a team of 5-6 engineers while developing strategies that align with organizational goals. The primary objective is to improve safety, quality, and productivity, manage complex projects, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of all equipment and facilities.
What You'll Do
  • Lead initiatives to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and minimize waste across all production areas.
  • Manage complex engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring technical, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
  • Ensure all manufacturing equipment and facilities operate efficiently and meet safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Hire, mentor, and guide a team of engineers, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Develop and execute an engineering strategy that supports company objectives and drives operational excellence.
  • Stay current with advancements in automation, printing, and packaging technologies, to identify and implement innovative solutions.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with flexographic printing and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of packaging automation and industrial control systems.
  • Strong background in manufacturing process improvement and project management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards for industrial equipment.
  • Continuous improvement certifications (Lean, Six Sigma) are a plus.
