Responsibilities:
  • Understands and adheres to the requirements of the Business Management System and perform duties in a manner that supports the company's Mission Statement.
  • Completes the list of competencies listed in the "Job Competency Check Sheet" for this position within the timeframe specified by the Quality Manager.
  • Performs inspection and tests precisely as described in the applicable procedures and work instructions. This includes proper and safe sample collection and their preparation.
  • Demonstrates proper use and maintenance of lab instruments and test equipment including the verification their calibration status prior to use.
  • Accurately enters test results per current ISO 9001 and company standards.
  • Understands and interprets test and inspection results and communicate issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a safe working environment, following all safety rules and procedures including Job Hazard/PPE assessment, report any unsafe conditions, incidents or near-misses.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure reliable and precise test results and accurate record keeping.
  • Understands and follows good laboratory practices; work in a safe manner, understand the location, purpose and use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Demonstrates real world Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in addressing day to day challenges.
  • Meets daily expectations regarding assigned tasks as well as managing multiple activities.
  • Partners with other departments to achieve plant goals.
  • Effectively plan and organize work to achieve efficient and effective results.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Entry level computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to work shifts.
  • Visual Acuity (including color perception).
  • Good Hearing.

Preferred:
  • Associate's degree, Engineering, Applied or Physical Science is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in a production environment desired

Work Environment:
  • Will be located at either the Winter Haven, FL facility.
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory environment.
  • Moderate dust, noise, hot and cold climates intermittently.
  • Lifting to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work shift work.
  • Visual Acuity (including color perception).
  • Good Hearing
