Engineering Intern - Civil, Geotechnical, Electrical, or Structural

McMillen, Inc. is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Interns to join our team for Summer 2026. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience supporting real-world projects in civil, geotechnical, electrical, or structural engineering. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers and project teams, gaining both technical expertise and professional development in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Structural Engineering - Denver, CO & Portland, OR
Civil/Geotechnical Engineering - Vancouver, BC
Electrical Engineering - Boise, ID & Spokane, WA
Key Responsibilities:
Assist engineers with design, analysis, and technical calculations for ongoing projects.
Support preparation of drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MATLAB, or discipline-specific tools).
Participate in fieldwork, site visits, inspections, and testing as needed.
Collect, organize, and analyze project data and prepare technical reports or documentation.
Collaborate with project teams to develop solutions to engineering challenges.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
Provide general project support, including research, documentation, and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering (or a related field).
Strong academic background with coursework relevant to the internship focus area.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to engineering software is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
