MAIN FUNCTION:
The Group Exercise Instructor (GEI) is ultimately responsible for delivering each group exercise class participant a world-class, engaging and well-organized experience. This is inclusive of delivering safe and effective formats in all class categories. The GEI must be inspiring, outgoing, personable and with ability to motivate members of varying ages and ability levels. Dependability is paramount as is the ability to be flexible and accommodating in order to consistently offer a robust schedule of classes.

DEPARTMENT: Group Exercise and Programming

REPORTS TO: Group Exercise and Programming Managers

DIRECT REPORTS: Group Exercise Coordinator, Aquatic Supervisor, Group Exercise Instructors

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Group Fitness Instructor certification NCCA accredited
  • Certifications such as, but not limited to: Specialty class instruction certifications, BLS/AED
  • No written disciplinary action within the last 12 months
  • Pass Background Check
  • Eligible to work in the United States

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for exemplary customer service; outgoing, friendly, and compassionate.
  • Displays the characteristics of a skilled instructor; an enthusiasm for teaching, a passion for connecting with others, and the ability to consistently deliver an elite-level performance.
  • Experience in a boutique fitness studio setting

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
