We're seeking an ICC-Certified Building Inspector near the San Marcos, TX area, full-time or part-time. This is more than just inspections-it's about ensuring the safety, quality, and future-readiness of the places where people live, work, and thrive.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll play a vital part in safeguarding communities by:

  • Conducting inspections before, during, and after construction to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Issuing permits, violation notices, and stop-work orders when needed.
  • Clearly communicating findings with homeowners, contractors, and field personnel.
  • Mentoring and training inspection staff to build a stronger, more knowledgeable team.
  • Serving as a trusted resource for technical guidance and customer service.
  • Staying ahead of the curve by integrating new developments in building and safety standards.

What We're Looking For

  • A State of Texas Plumbing Inspector's License.
  • ICC Certifications (Commercial and Residential required).
  • 3 or more years of inspection experience with municipal agencies.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
