Job description

This position is responsible for:
Executes planned activities for participants and youth which may include Day Camp Program, after-school programs, and recreational classes; make suggestions for planned recreational and arts activities; maintains program records, i.e., attendance records, parent sign in and out log; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Kroc Center Property.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gathers and sets up appropriate supplies and materials for planned arts activities; ensures the participants' safety in utilizing the same.
  • Provides assistance and constant care for the needs of the participants in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the Kroc Center facilities.
  • Leads the implementation of arts programming, with enthusiasm according to training protocol and written lesson plans.
  • Maintains an accurate head count of assigned participants at all times.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions.
  • Meets attendance requirements.
  • Must be in good physical and mental health, capable of meeting the demands of the gymnasium and athletic field programs.
  • Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (50-100+lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching, or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
  • Must be willing and able to swim, get wet, and/or subject to getting dirty while working with children.
  • Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
Or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Must have prior experience working within arts education

  • CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • Safe From Harm Certification
  • Blood Borne Pathogens Certification
