Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a background in defence, embedded systems, or rugged electronics looking to take technical ownership of complex projects?


This is an exciting opportunity to join an established engineering business supporting mission-critical defence programs, where you'll act as the technical lead across multidisciplinary engineering teams and have a direct influence on project execution.


You'll work across electrical, mechanical, software, test, and systems engineering, helping turn complex customer requirements into practical engineering solutions while supporting the development, integration, modernization, and sustainment of highly specialized systems.


You will be responsible for leading technical project activities, coordinating engineering teams, managing technical risks, and ensuring projects meet customer, performance, and schedule requirements.


This role would suit a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Senior Engineer with experience in defence, aerospace, embedded systems, or ruggedized electronics who is ready to take on greater technical leadership.


The Role:

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering activities across complex defence electronics projects
  • Translate customer requirements into technical plans and system-level solutions
  • Oversee system architecture, integration, technical decisions, and engineering reviews
  • Lead sustainment, modernization, and reverse-engineering projects for legacy systems
