DEMA Engineering Co. is seeking a Sustaining Engineer who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and values honesty, respect, hard work, and teamwork.
In this role, you'll help maintain and improve existing products while supporting production, quality, and engineering initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys balancing technical problem-solving with cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
As a Sustaining Engineer, you will support the continued performance, reliability, and improvement of existing products and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product performance and production issues
  • Develop and implement engineering design changes and product improvements
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, bills of material, prints, specifications, and test reports
  • Design and test prototype and production components using SolidWorks and related tools
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and customer support teams
  • Provide technical support for internal teams and customers
  • Assist with fixture design, prototype development, and production modifications
  • Help maintain compliance with product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Train team members on new and existing processes as needed

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a motivated engineer who combines technical expertise with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience in sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, or a related role preferred
  • Experience with SolidWorks, PDM systems, CAD modeling, and engineering documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, fluid dynamics, and FEA analysis
  • Experience with sheet metal, plastics, and molded part design
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365; advanced Excel skills are a plus
  • A continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
