Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support new process trials and provide engineering support for current production to ensure stable, efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Establish and maintain optimal production methods, standards, tooling, and equipment for assigned products and processes.
  • Drive manufacturing safety, ergonomics, and efficiency improvements through process changes and continuous safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Materials and cross-functional teams to optimize material flow, organization, and placement using Lean principles.
  • Coordinate implementation of new products and engineering changes, ensuring proper balance of work timing, processes, and manpower requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Materials teams to conduct manufacturing design reviews and support process development, prototype builds, and launch readiness.
  • Identify, implement, and standardize process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Analyze assembly operations and drive continuous improvement through data analysis, problem solving, and application of lean manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain accurate production standards using predetermined time systems (MCTM/MOST).
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, plant procedures, and compliance requirements across all assigned processes.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction and manpower optimization through process design and assembly configuration improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineers as needed, supporting development.
  • Lead and execute engineering programs within the area of responsibility to meet production, timing, and business objectives.
  • Interface and collaborate with plant personnel to achieve production targets, manpower balance, and operational goals.
