Company Summary

Join a dedicated healthcare team supporting the VA Portland Health Care System. This opportunity allows experienced X-Ray Technologists to provide essential diagnostic imaging services while helping deliver exceptional care to Veterans.

Position Summary

We are seeking a X-Ray Technologist for an immediate contract opportunity at the VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, Oregon. The selected candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic examinations while maintaining patient safety, imaging quality, and compliance with established radiology procedures.

Schedule

  • 8-, 9-, or 10-hour shifts
  • 4–5 days per week
  • Rotating day, evening, and night shifts

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures
  • Maintain imaging documentation and patient records
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures
  • Assist with portable X-ray procedures as needed

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification in Radiography
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of X-ray experience
  • Recent hospital X-ray experience within the last six months
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Available for a minimum six-month commitment
