The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced working with both digital communication systems and RF hardware-particularly in space or high-reliability environments.

  • Run RF and digital communications performance tests using standard RF lab equipment and procedures.
  • Provide regular status updates to the Test Execution Lead and notify stakeholders of any schedule impacts or blockers.

Tester & Rack Management
  • Maintain, calibrate, and deploy hardware testers and test racks to support ongoing development and qualification programs.
  • Ensure all test equipment is in calibration and fit for use; initiate corrective actions when nonconformances arise.
  • Support commissioning and verification of test racks and fixtures.

Hardware Handling & Debug Support

  • Work with responsible engineers to troubleshoot unit failures and assist with root-cause isolation.

RF Measurement & Test Expertise
  • Utilize common RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, and associated instrumentation.
  • Perform RF measurements relevant to digital communications systems, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and data integrity.
  • Verify that RF paths, attenuation networks, and calibration standards in the rack are properly configured.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Produce comprehensive test reports detailing methodologies, conditions, performance results, and observed behaviors.
  • Deliver test data packages to internal teams in a clear, structured, and timely manner.
  • Document any anomalies, hardware issues, or test discrepancies and drive mitigation actions in collaboration with engineering partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Understanding of calibration concepts, measurement uncertainty, and RF signal integrity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of digital communications systems, modulation schemes, and link-level RF measurements.
