What is an engineer relocation package?

An engineer relocation package is a set of benefits and financial assistance offered by employers to help engineers move to a new location for a job. These packages typically cover costs such as moving expenses, temporary housing, travel, and sometimes even help with selling a current home or finding a new one. The specific benefits can vary widely depending on the employer, the position, and the distance of the move. Some companies may also offer support for visa processing or settling-in allowances. It's important for candidates to clarify what is included in the package when considering a job offer.

How does an engineer typically collaborate with HR and relocation specialists during the relocation process?

When accepting a position with a relocation package, engineers often work closely with HR and dedicated relocation specialists to coordinate the logistics of their move. This includes discussing moving timelines, housing assistance, visa requirements (if applicable), and reimbursement procedures. Open communication is encouraged to ensure all needs are addressed and to minimize disruptions to work. Engineers should also be proactive in asking about local resources and support networks to help them settle in quickly and focus on their new role.

Location: Lehi, UT (Relocation Package Offered)
Position Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $110K-$180K with full benefits package and competitive full compensation package
OVERVIEW
Join a leading force in semiconductor manufacturing at their growing Lehi location. This team is seeking an experienced Product Engineer ready to take on significant responsibility as they broaden their capabilities with the latest fab expansion. This is a chance to drive results and innovation in an organization where both legacy and next-generation products are at the heart of operations. If you have five or more years of industry experience and thrive in high-volume, data-driven environments, your expertise can be a cornerstone in moving their technology and processes forward
MAIN DUTIES
  • Yield Optimization: Investigate and resolve challenges with production yields, employing data analytics to trace issues to their origin and taking action to prevent recurrence while improving efficiency.
  • New Product Launch: Lead efforts tied to the debut of new products—collaborating closely with design and business units to validate, qualify, and ensure smooth production hand-off.
  • Production Support: Deliver daily production guidance, particularly for troubleshooting, yield questions, and operational support
  • Continuous Improvement: Direct cross-discipline projects that enhance productivity, lower costs, and elevate quality throughout all phases of manufacture.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Apply advanced statistical analysis and data science principles to support sound engineering decisions and process advancements.
  • Design Collaboration: Work in concert with design teams for product simulation, design checks, and resolution of silicon build issues as they arise.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships across product, test, and hardware engineering groups to optimize test frameworks and hardware setups.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry as a Product Engineer, Yield Engineer, or relevant role.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering degree
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with yield analysis and manufacturing data.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JMP, Excel, and statistical analysis software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong background in designing, analyzing, and validating analog and mixed-signal circuits—familiarity with operational amplifiers, data converters (ADCs/DACs), and RF circuit elements is valuable
  • Experience in defining and verifying digital logic, including developing and implementing methods like automatic test pattern generation and scan chain strategies
  • Understanding of how memory devices are architected and designed, particularly with technologies such as SRAM and Flash memory
  • Detailed knowledge spanning the full semiconductor manufacturing process, from wafer fabrication to final assembly and testing
  • Solid grasp of underlying device physics and the workings of electronic circuits
  • Proven collaborator and team player, capable of working productively with diverse groups and across organizational boundaries
  • History of delivering on goals, meticulously managing priorities, and keeping multiple projects on track to completion
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and interruptions
  • Skilled at forming positive relationships and influencing outcomes across a range of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Advanced analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a knack for creative and detail-oriented problem solving
  • Able to communicate intricate technical matters clearly, whether speaking with engineering peers or broader audiences
  • Demonstrates strategic and level-headed thinking, excelling under significant responsibilities or pressure
