Naturally NorCal is a nonprofit organization (501c 6)dedicated to supporting and elevating the natural products industry across Northern California. We serve a diverse community that includes emerging entrepreneurs, scaling brands, established legacy CPG companies, and the service providers who support them.

Through events, peer forums, and strategic partnerships, we create opportunities for connection, education, and business growth across every stage of the company lifecycle. Our programming is designed not only to support founders as they build and scale, but also to engage experienced operators and industry partners who play a critical role in shaping a thriving ecosystem.

Role Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, execution, and evolution of all Naturally NorCal programming—including events, peer forums, and community experiences.

This role sits at the center of member and partner engagement and plays a key leadership function in shaping how our community connects and grows. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to manage details while keeping a clear vision for impactful, inclusive programming.


Need to Have

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, events, community engagement, or related roles
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including managing budgets, timelines, and multiple priorities
  • Experience working with entrepreneurs, startups, service providers and high-growth companies
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to build and manage relationships across members, partners, sponsors, and vendors
  • Experience evaluating program success through metrics and feedback
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and in a remote environment with in-person engagement
  • Develop marketing and communication copy and graphics to promote events


Nice to Have

  • Experience as a Sales & Marketing Coordinator or similar hybrid role
  • Background in natural products, CPG, or food & beverage industries
  • Experience with CRM systems and event registration tools
  • Familiarity with email marketing, social media, and website management
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or membership-based organization
  • Bachelor's degree preferred


Core Responsibilities

Programming

  • Design and manage the annual calendar of events, peer forums, and educational programming
  • Oversee program execution from concept through delivery in a committee format
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources in partnership with the Executive Director
  • Collaborate with members, speakers, sponsors, and partners to deliver high-quality experiences
  • Track participation and gather feedback to continuously improve programming
  • Manage event registration systems and CRM updates
  • Supervise staff, contractors, and/or volunteers supporting programs
  • Represent Naturally NorCal at key regional events

Marketing & Communications

  • Manage the programming communications calendar
  • Develop marketing copy and coordinate promotional materials
  • Support website updates and social media related to programs
  • Partner with marketing support to ensure consistent and timely promotion

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Contribute to organizational strategy and planning
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, board, and committee leaders to identify community needs
  • Serve as a connector and advocate for members and partners
  • Participate in regular coordination with Naturally Network chapters
