Job description

Job Title: Logistics Program Manager
Location: Mathews, LA
Position Overview: The Logistics Program Manager (LPM) is responsible for interfacing with US Army, US Navy, or US Coast Guard personnel on various aspects of the program, such as contract compliance, logistic support, and more. The LPM is tasked with determining program objectives, creating schedules, managing program budgets, preparing presentations, and identifying areas of improvement to meet logistics products and schedules. The LPM monitors the assigned program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Additionally, the LPM coordinates and schedules all aspects of assigned projects among various disciplines such as provisioning, technical manuals, training, and supply.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with US Army, US Navy, or US Coast Guard personnel on contract compliance, logistics support, and other program-related matters.
  • Determine program objectives, create schedules, manage program budgets, and prepare presentations.
  • Identify areas for improvement to ensure the meeting of logistics products and schedules.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of program management experience in a shipbuilding, engineering, or related manufacturing field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the compilation, development and / or review of provisioning data and / or technical manuals.
  • Experience with US Army, US Navy, or US Coast Guard new construction and maintenance programs, purchasing, acquisitions, or contracting is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of contract and specification knowledge.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong human relations, management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint).
  • Monitor the assigned program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
  • Coordinate and schedule all aspects of assigned projects among various disciplines such as provisioning, technical manuals, training, and supply.
