Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol<br><br>Food Safe Certification (or willing to obtain)<br><br>Alberta Class 5 drivers license (or Canadian equivalent) and no more than 3 demerits<br><br>Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search</p> <p></p> <p><strong>What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Executive Chef (manager), the Assistant Chef are responsible for:<br><br>Ensuring consistent high quality of meals and food service systems<br><br>Strong communication and working relationships with program, asset and admin staff at CCH<br><br>Planning meals that are appealing to participants and minimize waste<br><br>Ordering food and supplies<br><br>Liaison with parents and group leaders around dietary restrictions<br><br>Supervision, coaching and supporting 2-15 staff, depending on the season and operational volume.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>What qualities do we look for in YMCA Calgary Staff and Volunteers?</strong></p> <p>Our diverse team of staff and volunteers are committed to making a positive impact in the community.
