  • Review drawings for drafting accuracy, consistency, and quality control before submission.
  • Refine designs based on regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

Project & Client Management

  • Support project delivery within established timeframes and budgets.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and design tasks to help serve the needs of our clients.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, stakeholders, contractors, and municipal representatives.

Mentorship & Growth

  • Support junior staff by sharing CADD design, drafting, and drawing production knowledge to promote technical development and long-term team success.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and help foster an environment of continuous learning.

What You Bring

  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent from a recognized college.
  • Registered as a Professional Licensee (P.L. Eng.), Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.), or Professional Technologist (P. Tech.) in Alberta.
  • A minimum of 8 years of direct Civil 3D and land development experience.
  • Strong proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D for CADD design, drawing production, site grading, and earthwork volume calculations.
  • Knowledge of municipal, water resources, transportation, and land development engineering design, including sewage, water, roads, stormwater, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with municipal and provincial design and drafting standards, particularly those of the City of Edmonton and surrounding municipalities.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and other design programs.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
  • Ability to work on your own and in a team setting with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Why Scheffer Andrew?

  • Work with a dedicated, collaborative team on impactful local projects.
  • Supportive environment that values professional growth and innovation.
  • Opportunities to support and share knowledge with the next generation of engineers, technologists, and CADD design staff.
