Job description

General Responsibilities:
The Marketing Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing, executing, and managing all marketing and brand initiatives for T.E.A.M. Solutions' building automation controls business across Texas and beyond. This position serves as the central driver of market presence, brand consistency, lead generation, and talent acquisition — working in close collaboration with Business Development Managers and Account Executives to grow market share and elevate the company's profile throughout the industry.
As the first dedicated marketing professional in this role, the Marketing Manager will be a hands-on doer — personally building the marketing function from the ground up and executing day-to-day priorities while establishing the processes, tools, and standards needed to scale. The company has grown to this point without this position; this role will formalize and elevate what has been built through growth, while creating a repeatable marketing engine that supports revenue and long-term strategy.
Major Responsibilities:
Brand Management & Marketing Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company growth goals and the building automation controls market.
  • Establish and enforce brand standards across all internal and external materials, ensuring consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging.
  • Oversee brand representation on all company assets including vehicles, uniforms, office signage, digital platforms, printed collateral, etc.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to continuously refine marketing strategies.
  • Define and track key marketing KPIs; prepare regular reports for leadership.
Digital Marketing & Content Development:
  • Manage and grow the company's social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and others as applicable) with consistent, professional content.
  • Oversee the company website — developing, updating, and maintaining content to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and search engine visibility (SEO).
  • Create and distribute email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and digital communications to clients and prospects.
  • Develop case studies, project spotlights, and content that highlights the company's building automation expertise and project successes.
  • Document and publish internal and external customer testimonials across appropriate channels.
  • Manage and coordinate photography and video content for projects, team profiles, and marketing campaigns.
Sales Support & Client Engagement:
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers and Account Executives to develop compelling presentation materials, proposals, and leave-behind documents.
  • Standardize and maintain the library of PowerPoint presentations, bid documentation templates, and marketing collateral.
  • Understand customers' desired outcomes to develop targeted marketing materials and messaging.
  • Complete potential client prequalification documents and assist with RFQ/RFP responses as required.
  • Develop and deliver technical lunch-and-learn presentations for MEP engineering firms and contractors.
  • Maintain a strong working understanding of T.E.A.M. Solutions' capabilities and service delivery model, as well as our primary product and software offering (Delta Controls).
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear customer outcomes and coordinate next-step follow-up with Business Development after lunch-and-learns.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve marketing effectiveness and client experience.
Events, Trade Shows & Community Presence:
  • Plan and execute trade shows, industry events, and market-facing initiatives — handling schedules, checklists, registrations, and day-to-day coordination.
  • Manage event logistics end-to-end, including booth layout, ordering/printing materials, coordinating staffing, on-site setup/teardown, and post-event follow-up.
  • Identify sponsorship and community engagement opportunities, submit applications, and track commitments to ensure brand visibility is maximized.
  • Represent T.E.A.M. Solutions at associations and networking events — actively engaging attendees, capturing leads/contacts, and coordinating follow-up with Business Development.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
  • Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy that builds a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates across all departments.
  • Manage and optimize job postings across LinkedIn, Indeed, industry boards, and other relevant platforms.
  • Coordinate and attend career fairs, university recruiting events, and other talent outreach initiatives.
  • Develop employer branding content that communicates the T.E.A.M. Solutions culture, career growth opportunities, and company values.
  • Partner with department managers to understand hiring needs and proactively source candidates before vacancies become critical.
  • Manage the applicant tracking process and maintain an organized candidate pipeline.
Infrastructure, Communication & Operations:
  • Utilize standardized company processes, platforms, and productivity tools for all marketing and communications activities.
  • Manage and ensure that all marketing assets and documentation are maintained in company systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, tracking expenditures and optimizing spend for maximum ROI.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and marketing vendors.
  • Attend all required and needed meetings to achieve business success.
  • Maintain timely communications and harmonious relationships between team members.
Quality Control & Support:
  • Maintain working knowledge of the company's product lines, solutions, and service delivery model.
  • Communicate with and support operations teams to best serve customers and fellow employees.
  • Gather customer feedback and work with operations to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of all company policies and standards.
Marketing Manager Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within the construction, mechanical, HVAC, building automation, or B2B services industries.
  • Demonstrated experience building or managing a marketing function, including brand development and digital marketing.
  • Experience supporting a B2B sales team with marketing materials, proposals, and client-facing content is strongly preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft professional messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) and social media management tools.
  • Familiarity with website CMS, basic SEO principles, and email marketing platforms.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn and communicate building automation controls concepts; familiarity with Delta Controls products/software is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building processes and programs where none previously existed.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and willingness to travel within Texas for client visits, events, and trade shows.
