Company Description


Halal Auto Care is an independent automotive repair and service center located in Chamblee, GA. We service a wide variety of makes and models and perform everything from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics, major engine repairs, and complex mechanical work.


We are looking to add an experienced and knowledgeable Automotive Mechanic/Technician to our team. This position is intended for an intermediate to advanced-level technician who is comfortable diagnosing and repairing vehicles independently.


Role Description


This is a full-time, on-site position in Chamblee, GA.


We are looking for a mechanic who has strong overall automotive knowledge and can handle more than basic maintenance. The ideal candidate should be comfortable diagnosing mechanical problems, performing major repairs, and working on engines, transmissions, suspension, cooling systems, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.


Experience with engine teardown, internal engine repair, and engine rebuilding is strongly preferred.


This is not an entry-level or beginner technician position. Applicants should already have professional automotive repair experience and be capable of completing more advanced repairs beyond oil changes, brake jobs, tire services, and basic maintenance.


Responsibilities


* Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle problems accurately

* Perform advanced automotive repairs on a variety of makes and models

* Diagnose and repair engine-related issues

* Perform engine removal and installation

* Perform engine teardown, internal repairs, timing work, cylinder head work, and engine rebuilding

* Diagnose and repair cooling, fuel, ignition, and electrical systems

* Perform suspension, steering, drivetrain, and transmission-related repairs

* Use professional diagnostic scanners, testing equipment, service information, and repair manuals

* Properly identify required parts and recommended repairs

* Complete assigned repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship

* Follow shop procedures and safety standards

* Maintain a clean and organized work area


Qualifications


* Intermediate to advanced automotive repair experience required

* Strong understanding of engines and internal engine components

* Ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts

* Experience performing major mechanical repairs

* Engine rebuilding or internal engine repair experience strongly preferred

* Strong knowledge of modern automotive systems

* Comfortable working on multiple makes and models

* Ability to use diagnostic scanners and automotive testing equipment

* Ability to read wiring diagrams, repair procedures, specifications, and technical service information

* Must be able to work independently and complete jobs correctly and efficiently

* Must have reliable transportation and maintain professional attendance

* ASE certifications or formal automotive training are preferred but not required with sufficient hands-on experience

We are specifically looking for an experienced technician. This position is not intended for someone whose experience is primarily limited to oil changes, brakes, tires, and other basic maintenance services.
