Responsibilities

  • Stand engine room watch and assist with the safe operation of the rig’s power plant and auxiliary machinery.
  • Conduct machinery rounds, monitor operating parameters, and maintain detailed logs.
  • Identify abnormal equipment conditions and communicate issues proactively to prevent downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators, pumps, compressors, purifiers, fuel and lube oil systems, cooling water systems, HVAC, freshwater systems, and other engine room equipment.
  • Support maintenance of propulsion and thruster-related systems to ensure reliable power for drilling, marine, and hotel operations.
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment history accurately through the planned maintenance system.
  • Participate in safety drills, emergency duties, and daily shift handovers to uphold safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to maintain operational readiness and equipment reliability.

Requirements

  • USCG 3rd Assistant Engineer Unlimited MMC or higher.
  • Valid USCG Medical Certificate with STCW OICEW / applicable STCW engineering endorsements.
  • Previous engineering watchstanding experience on a DP vessel, drilling rig, or similar offshore installation.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary machinery.
  • Deepwater drilling experience is highly preferred.
  • Current BOSIET, FOET, or THUET certification.
  • Valid RigPass or SafeGulf certification.
  • TWIC card and U.S. Passport.
  • Ability to obtain required foreign flag-state endorsement.
  • Must meet all offshore medical, training, and pre-employment requirements.

Take the next step in your offshore engineering career by joining a dedicated team committed to safety and operational excellence. Apply today to become a vital part of this challenging and rewarding environment.
