Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to produce precision parts and assemblies through the setup and operation of machining equipment. The Machinist will plan materials, determine machining sequences, assemble components, and ensure all finished products meet engineering, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan materials and determine appropriate sequences of machining and assembly operations
  2. Set up and operate machining equipment to manufacture precision parts of varying complexity
  3. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  4. Follow manufacturing processes and procedures to perform machining and assembly operations
  5. Fit, align, and assemble machined components into complete assemblies
  6. Perform secondary operations such as drilling, tapping, deburring, and finishing
  7. Inspect completed parts and assemblies using precision measuring tools
  8. Verify conformance to specifications and quality requirements
  9. Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately and on time
  10. Work closely with engineering, quality, and inspection teams to meet exact requirements.

  11. Troubleshoot machining or assembly issues, improve processes, and reduce scrap.

  12. Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor less-experienced machinists when needed.

  13. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.

  14. Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two year’s experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical or trade school training certificate and two years’ experience, OR, six years’ experience.
  • Experience with 3,4, or 5 axis milling, turning or grinding.
  • Experience with Siemens and Fanuc controls
  • Experience setting up and operating machine tools.
  • Intermediate ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (CMM, height gage, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a machine shop environment.
  • Experience using an ERP system.
