Job Description
The Clean Energy Policy & Implementation Managers are responsible for the development, design, strategy, execution, and coordination of the company’s clean energy initiatives and efforts. Responsible for understanding regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements associated with state and national climate policies impacting the Company’s energy supply. Coordinates impacts of climate policy with internal departments including, but not limited to, Energy Efficiency, Social Impact, Accounting, Risk Management, Energy Supply, Planning, Government Affairs, Environmental, and Regulatory Affairs. As the Company advances toward 100% clean energy, the complexities and potential Company and customer impacts are increasingly material, with an evolving need for dedicated personnel to understand, interpret, and inform senior leadership (and advise where appropriate). This function operates with sufficient autonomy, authority, and cross-department access to effectively plan, design, and administer the clean energy compliance programs and reports to the Director of Integrated Planning & Clean Energy.
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university in Political Science, Public Policy, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
  • Three (3)+ project or program management experience required.
  • Experience related to environmental, regulatory, or energy compliance priorities and understanding of complexities in application to energy legislation preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, reports, presentations, etc.
  • Effective and adaptable communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and well-structured technical documentation and reports preferred.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively through influence, education, and advocacy.

Hiring Range: $88,336 to $114,838

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane location at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with additional day(s) determined by the manager.

In compliance with state laws, we provide the full salary range for each position, along with the typical hiring range based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
