Job description

Job Summary

The Senior Administrative Specialist performs senior-level administrative functions in support of the Department of Energy, Office of Management (MA) by providing general office administration and programmatic support.

Essential Functions

  • General office/administrative duties, basic statistical and budget tasks, analysis and preparation of routine documents
  • Manage projects in support of MA missions and objectives
  • Maintains scheduling, travel, and library/documentation procedures
  • Performs a wide range of administrative functions in order to support the operations of the assigned director and office
  • Identify issues and problems 
  • Maintain calendar and schedule meetings, proofread and edit a wide variety of documents and correspondence
  • Respond to data calls by finding the appropriate resources and gathering pertinent information
  • Prepare time and attendance records electronically; maintain tracking systems for handling action items and controlled correspondence
  • Make travel arrangements and other duties as assigned

 Job Specifications

Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited college in an appropriate discipline or equivalent
