Job Title: Energy Efficiency Community Outreach Coordinator

Location: 80 Park Pl Newark, NJ 07102

Minimum in office or in the field three days per week. Weekend availability on occasion.

Client Title: CES Community Engagement Specialist

Job Summary:

This position will provide support services to the CLIENT Clean Energy Solutions (CES) residential energy efficiency portfolio by engaging customer segments to spread awareness of energy-saving measures and offerings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as an ambassador for the residential energy efficiency programs, advocating for enrollment while directly interfacing with a range of customer populations.
  • Proactively seek and secure networking opportunities and facilitate learning sessions with prospective program participants.
  • Serve as a community liaison on behalf of the portfolio, attending various functions, public events or prearranged customer-facing meetings to disseminate information, respond to inquiries, and capture interest.
  • Coordinate activities and deliverables in partnership with company sales or business development teams to promote energy efficiency programs to employee groups and other community-based organizations.
  • Ad hoc projects, as assigned.
  • Job-Specific Qualifications-

    Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications/public relations, marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years professional experience in corporate advocacy or outreach.
  • Experience representing company or business interests with community, customer or client-side audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop educational & informational materials, including, but not limited to, presentations, targeted correspondence, and promotional messaging.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  • Desired:

  • Background in event support, both on the logistics front, as well as general brand ambassadorship.
  • Capacity to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, managing regular touchpoints and proposing partnership solutions.
  • Knowledge of, or direct experience dealing with, New Jersey residential associations or affiliations.
  • Sufficient knowledge of energy efficiency and program structure & customer incentives.
