Corporate Associate – Energy, Climate & Sustainability – AmLaw 100 Firm
Location: San Francisco, CA
Full-Time

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Midlevel Corporate Associate with 4–6 years of law firm experience to join its growing Energy, Climate & Sustainability practice.

The practice represents emerging and growth companies in the energy, climate, and sustainability sectors, as well as venture capital firms, private equity investors, and corporate venture groups supporting innovation and decarbonization efforts.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling sophisticated corporate transactions, including venture capital financings, private equity investments, IPOs, and mergers & acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • 4–6 years of corporate transactional experience at a law firm
  • Experience with venture capital, private equity, IPOs, and/or M&A transactions
  • Strong interest in energy, climate, sustainability, and emerging companies
  • Superior academic credentials
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Active California Bar membership required

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range is $310,000–$390,000, depending on experience and associate year level. Discretionary merit-based bonuses may also be awarded.
