Position Summary
A Ticket Taker is a vital, public-facing member of the CFG Bank Arena team and plays a key role in shaping the first impression of every event. As a representative of the arena, you are expected to deliver a warm, confident, and enthusiastic greeting while maintaining a visible, engaging presence at all times. This role requires individuals who are outgoing, energetic, and comfortable actively engaging with guests to provide directions, answer questions, and keep entry points moving efficiently. Ticket takers are responsible for delivering top-tier customer service while helping expedite guest entry in a safe, organized, and professional manner. You must have a strong understanding of the arena's layout and be proactive in guiding guests into a world-class environment while accurately validating tickets. This position is best suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, high-energy settings and are willing to step forward, engage with crowds, and take initiative. Creating a safe, smooth, and memorable guest experience is not passive. This position requires energy, awareness, and a willingness to be actively involved from the moment guests arrive.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
  • Possess a positive attitude and facilitate teamwork and respect among co-workers
  • Welcome guests, provide directions, and answer any questions that may arise.
  • Provide crowd management to help organize patron access in a timely fashion.
  • Be energetic and have a desire to help
  • Provide assistance to patrons with special needs or wheelchair access
  • Be boisterous and communicate in high-energy environments
  • Enforce building policies and event procedures
  • Assist and direct guests in a variety of situations, including emergencies.
  • Manage ticketing technology and resolve technical issues on site
  • Be comfortable with electronic and digital ticketing platforms such as cell phones and directing customers how to access tickets
  • Resolve conflict and demonstrate expertise in event ticketing
  • Work quickly to safely expediate arena access
  • Be flexible and willing to adjust to management's direction
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer service-based industry is preferred
  • Previous experience within a sports, entertainment, or related field is preferred
  • 70% event availability commitment. Event requirements are subject to change.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortability operating ticketing technology such as scanners.
  • An understanding of cellphone technology associated with ticketing platforms and apps.
  • Proficiency with the use of Google Docs and Excel spreadsheets for scheduling purposes.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Extensive time spent with moderate to loud noises and exposure to flashing lights.
  • Fluctuating temperatures to include hot and cold conditions-external and internal facility exposure.
  • Must arrive at work in an appropriately furnished uniform, refrain from cellphone use in public spaces while on post, and remain on post until dismissed or relieved.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting personal schedules and extending hours to meet event personnel needs.
  • Frequent bending, standing for long periods of time and walking of the building
