About the Role:

The Endoscopy Technician plays a critical role in supporting gastroenterologists and other medical professionals by preparing and maintaining endoscopic equipment and assisting during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position ensures that all endoscopic instruments are properly sterilized, functioning, and ready for use, thereby maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. The technician is responsible for patient preparation, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. They collaborate closely with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth procedural workflows and accurate documentation. Ultimately, the Endoscopy Technician contributes to high-quality patient care by combining technical expertise with compassionate support during endoscopic examinations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and sterilize endoscopic equipment and instruments according to established protocols to ensure patient safety and infection control.
  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by handling instruments, monitoring equipment, and providing necessary support.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and monitoring vital signs as needed.
