GI Lab / Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8-Hour Shifts + Call | Gateway Regional Medical Center
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate GI Lab / Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Services team.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys procedural care, patient preparation and recovery, and working closely with a highly collaborative clinical team in a fast-paced specialty setting.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures, including:
  • Preparing patients for endoscopic and GI procedures
  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
  • Ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile procedural environment
  • Administering medications and monitoring sedation response (per protocol)
  • Providing patient education and discharge instructions
  • Collaborating with physicians, techs, and surgical services staff
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting workflow efficiency
Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Call required
What We're Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required)
  • Current Illinois RN license
  • Current BLS certification required
  • GI Lab, Endoscopy, PACU, ICU, or procedural experience preferred
