What is an endoscopy center?

An Endoscopy Center is a specialized medical facility where doctors perform endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat conditions related to the digestive system, respiratory tract, and other internal organs. These procedures use a flexible tube with a camera, called an endoscope, to view internal organs without the need for major surgery. Endoscopy centers typically offer services such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and other minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. They are staffed by gastroenterologists, nurses, and technicians who are trained in endoscopic care. These centers prioritize patient safety, comfort, and efficient care delivery.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical billing software, and scheduling tools is commonly required.
