General Nursing Responsibilities
Receives, prioritizes, and processes patient requests, including prescription refills, medical supplies, equipment, referrals, and urgent care needs.
Documents patient encounters accurately and timely in accordance with nursing standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
Reviews and coordinates provider orders, including prescriptions, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, medical equipment, and related services.
Prepares examination and treatment rooms, ensuring appropriate equipment, supplies, and documentation are available for patient care.
Performs nursing assessments and triages patient concerns via telephone, electronic communication, and in-person encounters, providing appropriate guidance and follow-up.

Triages urgent and non-urgent patient concerns related to diabetes and endocrine conditions, collaborating with providers to ensure timely intervention and continuity of care.
Coordinates care for patients requiring insulin pumps, CGM devices, specialty medications, durable medical equipment, and related supplies.
Processes specialty medication requests, prescription refills, prior authorizations, appeals, and coordination with pharmacies and insurance carriers.
Coordinates referrals, reviews incoming clinical information, and assists in prioritizing patients requiring urgent evaluation or specialized endocrine services.
Provides nursing visits for patient assessment, medication administration, diabetes education, growth monitoring, and provider-directed treatment plans.
Collaborates with schools, community agencies, specialty providers, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care and treatment planning.
Assists with care coordination activities including patient follow-up, recall initiatives, transition planning, and quality improvement efforts to promote positive clinical outcomes.
