Endocrinology Locums Opportunity in Waterloo, IA- $250
Job Description:
Locums Endocrinology in Waterloo, IA where Outpatient Full-time with 1:4 weekend call coverage at two facilities coverage is needed. Here are some of the details:
Start Date: 6+ months- As soon as credentialed-Ongoing Full-Time
Shift times:
  • Monday-Friday: 8a-5p with 1 hour unpaid lunch.
Submission Requirements: Must meet all requirements in order to be considered for submission.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible(within 5 years of training) -REQUIRED
  • IA license or IMLC - REQUIRED
  • BLS or ACLS - willing to obtain
  • Must be local (no flights)- REQUIRED
  • Iowa Medicaid enrolled -PREFERRED
  • Availability 2-4 weeks per month, starting mid-June -REQUIRED

Position Details:
Job Description:
  • Need to be able to see new patients and follow ups
  • At least 12 patients per day
  • No procedures
  • Treatments required: We also do bone density in this clinic.
  • We do have a stand alone cancer treatment center within a few blocks, so cancer patients can be referred there for specific cancer treatments, but would follow up with endo for ongoing care.
  • Must be willing to prescribe anti-obesity meds (phentermine, Topamax, wegovy, etc) along with the following patients (via labs an/or visits) for drugs such as methimazole and levothyroxine.
  • A lot of diabetic patients.
  • We have diabetic educators that can assist with education and sensor downloads.
  • Diabetes, cushings, graves, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, parathyroid carcinoma, adrenal cancer, thyroid cancer
  • EMR: EPIC

Compensation for this opportunity is highly competitive at $250/Hr.
