Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1K

  • Position: GI Tech
  • Location: Evanston, IL
  • Full Time
  • Hours: 6:30am to 5:30pm M-F - Occasional Sat rotation - On Call Rotation (including nights/wkends)

What you will do:
  • Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
  • Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department. The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.

What you will need:
  • Education:
    • Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred

  • Certification:
    • CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association

  • Experience:
    • Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required
    • Basic computer experience
    • Ability to take vitals and perform CPR
