Position Summary

Somafina is continuously seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our Production Team. This position serves as a general application for production-related roles, including Encapsulation Operators, Weighers, Blenders, and other manufacturing positions. Candidates who apply will be considered for current and future openings based on qualifications, experience, and business needs.

Available Shifts

We currently operate three production shifts:

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Swing Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Third Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Shift availability may vary based on current business needs.

Compensation
  • General Pay Range: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
  • Starting pay is based on the position, shift assignment, qualifications, and experience.

Blender Assignment

Candidates assigned to the Blender role are subject to a different pay structure. Blender pay begins with a 2-week training period, followed by a pay increase upon successful completion and conversion to a full Somafina position:

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the role assigned, responsibilities may include:

  • Operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment.
  • Weighing and staging raw materials according to production formulas and batch records.
  • Blending ingredients to meet quality and production specifications.
  • Operating encapsulation equipment and monitoring production output.
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Completing production documentation accurately and timely.
  • Performing equipment cleaning and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Conducting quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, food production, pharmaceutical, or supplement industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
