Overview

Position Type PRN -.2 Job Shift Any Category EMS

Description

Job Summary:

  • Provide basic emergency medical care and transport of the critically ill and injured patients who access the EMS system.
  • Observe all traffic ordinances and regulations concerning the emergency vehicle operation.
  • Maintain a record of PCR documentation with all additional supportive documentation necessary.
  • Daily maintenance check and supply check; all fluids and supplies must be replaced as necessary.
  • Assist with all duties as assigned by shift supervisor to include cleaning the building and the trucks.
  • Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
  • Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, basic EMT/driver, and other required credentialing. Degree preferred.

Experience: Must be at least 19 years of age with a good driving record. Experience is helpful.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must meet physical requirements of job described. Must pass the MedPAT (Medical Physical Agility Test) annually. Must obtain EVOC prior to hire date and maintain certification. ICS courses required are 100, 200, 700, 800 and CPR.
