Description

Harris County ESD#50 (Channelview Fire Department) will be accepting applications for the position of Entry-Level Firefighter. Individuals interested in testing must submit a completed application with a valid e-mail address and supporting documentation to apply. Please attach DL, TCFP, & EMT certs. You must be currently certified to qualify for this position. The selection process will consist of an agility test, an interview, and a SCBA confidence drill.

Harris County Emergency Service District #50 (Channelview Fire Department) provides fire and emergency medical services to over 38,000 residents in an unincorporated area of eastern Harris County, Texas. Harris County Emergency Service District #50 (Channelview Fire Department) encompasses approximately 19 square miles that produces over 4,662 responses for emergency service per year.

To obtain employment an applicant must meet the following criteria at the time the application is submitted:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 21 Years of age
  • TCFP Basic Firefighter certification
  • TDH EMT-Basic or higher certification
