Job description

Provides basic patient care, assists with procedure, transports patients interdepartmentally and maintains equipment and supplies in the Emergency Department. The technician works under the direction of the licensed nurse, physician assistant, or physician.


Accurately obtains and records vital signs and reports abnormal readings to licensed nurse or physician assistant in a timely manner.


Certification as an EMT-1 in the State of California. Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider). At least one (1) year experience in an acute care facility and/or pre-hospital care, preferably in emergency care setting. Management of assaultive behavior certificate.
