Job description

Role : Clinical Informaticist Analyst
Location : Minneapolis, MN
Contract Position

Profiles with more emphasis on the following:

The Clinical Informaticist will be responsible for interpreting clinical policies authored by Health Plans and CMS; and building models to automate them. This role will require the new hire to collaborate on the design with clinicians (MDs, Nurses) and technical engineers. This person will then act as the Development team liaison throughout the engineering process.

  1. Interacting with Doctors/NurseKnowledge of Medical codes, CPT codes etc.
  2. Good Clinical experience
  3. IT experience as BA and interacting with business and IT/Engg teams
  4. Explain and understand technical solutions

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret clinical guidelines and policies authored by Health Plans and CMS
  2. Build clinical models for automation that adhere to clinical policies
  3. Analyze historical data to build and validate models
  4. Consult with MDs and Nurses during the model building process
  5. Collaborate with Development and QA teams to codify and validate the models
  6. Serve as the Clinical Technical Support for Production issues
  7. Develop use cases and user stories to support application flows
  8. Perform analysis and define data mapping models in support of service models
  9. Develop detailed source-to-target data mapping and data transformation rules

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Minimum 3 years experience in Healthcare IT
  3. Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration and technical skills
  4. Proficiency in Visio and Excel
  5. Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  6. Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  7. Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
    Assets:
  • Degree in Clinical Informatics
  • Familiarity with CMS, MCG, Interqual guidelines
  • Comfortable in querying and analyzing data using SQL tools
  • Experience with EMR
