Inside Sales Representative – Metals Distribution

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You’ll support existing accounts, develop new business, and work closely with operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.


What You’ll Do

• Manage and grow customer accounts in manufacturing and industrial sectors.

• Respond to inbound calls and emails, prepare quotes, and process orders.

• Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure timely deliveries.

• Support certification requirements with the Test Reports Department.

• Make outbound follow-up calls and prospect new customers.

• Maintain accurate records in CRM and monitor customer satisfaction.

• Negotiate pricing and agreements within company guidelines.

• Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and product knowledge.

• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to drive growth.


What You’ll Bring

• 1–2 years of inside sales or customer service experience (industrial or metals preferred).

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.


Compensation & Incentives

Hourly Pay: $22.60–$27.88 based on experience. In addition to base pay, this position offers a guaranteed incentive of $3,000 during the first four quarters of employment.


Sales Incentive Program

Eligible Inside Sales Representatives participate in a quarterly Sales Incentive Program designed to reward performance in alignment with company goals. Incentives are based on individual gross profit billed, as well as a pooled bonus distributed based on team performance and sales management-defined programs.
