Job description

Program Overview

The Emergency Radiology Fellowship is a one-year Non‑Standard Training Program at UT Health San Antonio. The fellowship’s purpose is to train board‑certified or board‑eligible radiologists with exposure to large volume of cases in multiple areas of neuroradiology, chest, abdominal, and pediatric imaging in an emergency setting. The Emergency Radiology Faculty team has board certified faculty attendings who are experts and committed to the education of its fellows. UT Health San Antonio and University Hospital have nationally recognized lung transplant programs and a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Fellow’s Experience
  • Advanced training in management of imaging analysis and interpretation with both trauma and non‑trauma patients.
  • Interpretation of radiographs, ultrasound, and CT and MRI imaging examinations on a variety of patients with broad spectrum of medical emergencies and acute medical conditions.
  • Communicating results to referring physicians or other care providers.
  • Participation in didactic lectures, subspecialty focused conferences, and journal clubs.
  • Educate by conducting resident and medical student lectures.
  • Opportunities for research and publications.

Completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
