Work Location: Corporate Headquarters - Pewaukee (Onsite)
Division: Plumbing (Full Time, Exempt)
Under the direction of the Division Manager, the BIM Detailer is responsible for coordinating, designing, and formatting 3D building information model (BIM) drawings.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or Member in good standing of applicable local bargaining unit
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 to 5 years of CAD/Revit experience, Plumbing Design experience preferred.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Driver's License
  • Physical Job Requirements: Move throughout office, construction site, and general outdoor environments

Key Activities
  1. Understand Projects. Review project specifications, proposal, addendums, engineering drawings, and all other information pertinent to project.
  2. Generate 3D Models and Fabrication Drawings. Generate constructable 3D models and review assembly & spool drawings for fabrication in conjunction with project & shop foremen.
  3. Project Documentation. Provide other project information/documentation as requested. Provide information necessary for plan review/permit. Manage plan review process. Provide "cut sheets" and shop fabrication drawings as requested. Archive drawings (approved plans, pertinent architectural plans, civil plans, etc.) in electronic format.
  4. Perform clash detection and be able to communicate and work through changes to be made with other trades.
  5. Maintain/update CAD and VDC systems to ensure maximum efficiency/accuracy is achieved.
