Job description

The Hood & Duct Technician Lead is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hood and duct systems.

Duties:

  • Install and repair hood and duct systems and equipment.

  • Maintain an orderly schedule of preventative maintenance throughout the property.

  • Assist in training and supervising team members on hood & duct systems and their operation.

  • Ensure the reliability of back up equipment for emergency use.

  • Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions to their manager immediately.

  • Annual completion of Respirator training and fit test.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent required.

  • Experience in basic plumbing, electrical, and metal fabrication.

  • Must have the ability to work around electrical, water, and gas feed lines.

  • Must have the ability to maintain the restaurant, kitchen hood, and ductwork.

  • Have basic knowledge of working with hand and power tools.

  • Have verbal and written effective communication in the English language.
