Job description

The Emergency Department/Acute Care Technician (EDAT) is a staff position responsible for providing basic technical patient care skills under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). The EDAT works in close collaboration with an assigned RN to provide safe and quality patient care, is a valued member of the patient care team, and functions under the direction of the RN. Estimated pay range for this position is $17.79 - $26.03 / hour depending on experience.

Degrees:
  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Paramedic.
  • Basic Life Support.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Paramedic, or Licensed Practical Nurse, or Emergency Medical Technician-EMT (if hired at BHSF prior to 2012 or at least 2 years of experience) or Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA (if hired at BHSF prior to 2012).
  • BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support required, PALS (per entity standard).
