Job description

IES has an opportunity for an Emergency Department Medical Director at CHI St. Luke's Patients Medical Center:

Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site management of the clinical and administrative aspects of the emergency department.
  • Manage the quality improvement plan, including attending regular meetings and reviewing medical records.
  • Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high‑quality care.
  • Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership.
Qualifications
  • BC/BE Emergency Medicine or BC Family Medicine with ED experience.
  • Texas medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • Prior experience as a Medical Director or Assistant Medical Director.
  • DEAACLS, PALS, ATLS.
