Irrigation Technician

What Youll Do:
Customer & Site Management
  • Professionally represent the U.S. Lawns brand in uniform and conduct.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, update them on job progress, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify irrigation issues and potential liabilities; inform management and customers promptly.
  • Ensure all systems are scheduled to operate within water restrictions and off-business hours when possible.
Irrigation Systems Expertise
  • Monitor, test, and program irrigation systems and controllers.
  • Diagnose and repair issues: broken lines, faulty heads/nozzles, valves, wiring, and more.
  • Perform spring startups and fall winterizations to protect systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, zone charts, and schematics.
Quality Control & Safety
  • Maintain high-quality service to ensure contract renewals and customer satisfaction.
  • Repair all disturbed areas to original site specs after trenching/digging.
  • Adhere to all local, state, federal, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Use proper PPE and mark all active job sites with caution tape and cones.
Equipment & Vehicle Management
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in clean and safe working condition.
  • Ensure all assigned equipment is stored securely and well cared for.
  • Report equipment issues and schedule maintenance or replacements.
Team Leadership & Scheduling
  • Plan daily work schedules and prep materials for the following day.
  • Remain on-call as needed for emergency irrigation needs.
  • Participate in safety tailgate meetings and help promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Administrative Tasks
  • Accurately document all work performed, including hours, materials, and repairs.
  • Complete required reports and forms (e.g., Inspection Forms, Safety Logs, Service Requests).
  • Stay informed of industry best practices and comply with all regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain organized records, product inventory, and ordering processes.
What Youll Bring:
  • Experience: Hands-on irrigation installation and repair experience preferred.
