Job description


HOURS: 

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30am-2:30pm

 

REPORTS TO: DTG Supervisor

 

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

As a direct to garment (DTG) machine operator – 1st shift, you will be making our customer’s artwork come alive by producing digitally printed garments in a highly efficient production environment.

 

Here’s what a typical day might look like. (These are the essential functions of the job). Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, and Humility.
  • Effectively interpret work orders and job aids to ensure accurate execution of job responsibilities.
  • Inspect print quality and graphic placement to ensure high quality, accurate prints.
  • Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a DTG printer to digitally decorate garments with customer-supplied artwork in an efficient high production environment.
  • Manage computer files and project statuses as necessary in the order management software.
  • Prioritize order completion based on the due date and execute DTG tasks including reviewing work orders and machine setup.
  • Stage orders in preparation for DTG printing.
  • Inspect print quality and graphic placement to ensure high-quality, accurate prints.
  • Finish, touch-up & remove excess ink defects from garments.
  • Fold and package garments per specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy on each order. Verify counts, decoration locations and sizes.
  • Properly record scrap, production, and replacements.
  • Book out orders on computer system.
  • Enter data into production logs.
  • Pull replacements from internal stock.
  • Help in Finishing, Digital Print and other areas when needed and when time allows.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Comply with safety procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Keep an organized workflow for smooth, quick, and consistent output.
  • Help out in embroidery, digital print, or other areas when needed and when time allows.
  • Stay current with DTG shipping procedures.

Required education/skills/experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds on a frequent/occasional basis.
