Job description

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a systems engineer for the Coastal family, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the execution of a predetermined and highly complex schedule with some of the best engineering minds around.

What sets you apart:

  • Designed and developed early integration test plans and procedures to verify hardware and/or software for embedded systems.
  • Developed strategies for what is required for lab test equipment based on test design.
  • Experience in test equipment design, drafting, and releasing of documents. Procure the parts, assembly the test equipment, and integrate with the system under test (SUT).
  • Comfort with IT fundamentals: networking, system administration, hardware setup and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in or ability to learn communication protocols to include I2C, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), USB, General-purpose Input/Output (GPIOs), Controller Area Network (CAN bus), Recommended Standard 232 (RS232), one-wire, Recommended Standard 485 (RS485).
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot problems down to the component level.
  • Can troubleshoot equipment, test software, or product failures as required and implement solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including extended international deployments to remote locations with limited or no outside communication.
