Job description

Role: Embedded Systems Validation Engineer

Location: Mossville, IL (Onsite)

Type: Contract (W2)

Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Set-up and manage multi-system test bench for software and hardware testing and validation.
  • Develop and execute Software and Hardware Test and Validation Plans on the test bench and on machines at proving grounds.
  • Create and manage Data Pipelines for system level software testing and validation on the test bench.
  • Support component and system level testing and validation (Environmental, Vibration, EMC)
  • Travel to Proving Grounds or Customer Sites to support System Installation, Commissioning and Troubleshooting activity (<5%)

Education Requirement

- Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related Engineering Field.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Experience working with telemetry / machine data systems

- Experience with Validation of system data flows across onboard and back-office systems

- Experience integrating software with hardware systems and sensors.

- Experience with Data Acquisition and Analysis tools for CAN and Ethernet (Vector CANalyzer/ CANoe, PEAK-System PCAN-USB, Wireshark or similar)

- Working Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN / J1939, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and

networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)

- Working knowledge of SQL/databases, data analysis, and dashboard/report generation (Power BI/Tableau)

- Working knowledge of Linux Operating System

- Working knowledge of Python, C++

- Working knowledge DevOps (Managing Test Plans, Bug Creation and Tracking)

- Working knowledge of DVP&R documentation.
