Job description

Join an industry-leading engineering team developing advanced electronic control systems, displays, and connected technologies used in commercial vehicles and off-highway equipment. This role focuses on designing and validating embedded electronic hardware that powers next-generation vehicle systems.

The Electrical Engineer will contribute to new product development and support existing product platforms, working closely with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical schematics for embedded controllers, displays, and electronic products utilizing microcontrollers, microprocessors, and application-specific I/O.
  • Perform circuit analysis and simulation to optimize electrical designs for functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Support PCB layout activities and ensure designs meet industry standards and best practices.
  • Execute design verification, validation testing, and product qualification activities.
  • Collaborate with software and mechanical engineering teams on system integration efforts.
  • Partner with manufacturing to support efficient production, cost objectives, and product quality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, test reports, engineering change orders, and user documentation.
  • Support sustaining engineering efforts including troubleshooting field issues, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and component obsolescence management.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in embedded electronics, vehicle controls, power electronics, and wireless communications.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience designing embedded electronic hardware products.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as OrCAD or Altium.
  • Hands-on experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with microcontroller- and microprocessor-based product development.
  • Experience with power electronics.
